PRICKLY LETTUCE Lactuca serriola Life Cycle: Annual Plant Description:
Annual weed with prickly leaves that emits a milky sap when cut. Leaves are arranged alternately on the stem between 2 to14 inches long. Flowers are approximately ½ inch wide and are composed of 5 to 12 yellow toothed petals. DuraCor ® herbicide per acre. Use lower rate for preemergence. Use higher rate when weeds are actively growing and conditions are favorable for growth.
