SPANISH NEEDLES Bidens bipinnata Life Cycle: Annual Plant Description:
A summer annual with leaves that are arranged opposite and are finely dissected. Yellow flowers emerge in late summer on long stalks that can reach 5 feet in height. This plant produces linear shaped needle-like seeds (with 2-4 short awns at its tip) that cling to fur and clothing to spread.
Treatment: Apply 12 to 16 fluid ounces of DuraCor ® herbicide per acre.
Apply when weeds are actively growing.
