An erect very tall growing biennial. Primarily a weed of pastures and roadsides. This weed is poisonous to cattle, swine, poultry, horses, goats and sheep that consume it. Stems are erect and branching. Much of the stem is hollow,

and distinctly purple-spotted. Clusters of large white flowers emerge in early summer. Treatment: Apply 16 to 20 fluid ounces of DuraCor ® herbicide per acre. Treat early in the spring when plants are in the rosette stage for best control.
