Willows include over 400 species of trees and shrubs. Moisture-loving plants that are native to temperate and cold regions in the northern hemisphere. Vary in size and can grow up to 90 feet. Leaves are typically elongated, serrate, and rounded at base. Willows are shade tolerant and typically short-lived. Seeds are tiny, plentiful, carried by wind and water, and viable only for a short time.
