Native perennial shrub often found on saline alkaline flood plains. They can reach up to 7 feet tall. Linear, round leaves are pale green, usually less than 1 inch long. It readily resprouts after fire or other disturbances. Stems splinter when broken, often causing injury to animal digestive systems or flat tires.
Treatment: 2 pints Tordon ® heribicide + 1 lb. ae 2,4-D
or 1 ounce metsulfuron methyl
