Fellow Cattlemen, We would like to welcome you to our 12th annual bull and heifer sale at Top Gun Cattle. Now is definitely an exciting time to be in the cattle business. Here at Top Gun Cattle we have a registered and commercial cowherd, as well as a thousand head backgrounding lot. We wean, background, and develop heifers, as well as AI. What I’m driving at is that cattle are our focus everyday. I believe that focusing on all aspects of the cattle business, helps us to do our job better and produce higher quality cattle. We treat all our cows the same, and if they don’t meet our standards, they are gone. We develop all the heifers to be in the herd. With that being said, our bulls carry strong maternal traits that are going to make you want to keep your heifer calves, they will make mommas. The bulls are developed slow and are running out in a big grass trap with hills. We aren’t shooting for a high weight/day of age. We are raising bulls that go to work and have longevity. By not being penned up they are sound, athletic, and in the shape to go out and work, not fall apart. Our cows are moderate framed, phenotypically correct, good uddered and efficient at turning milk into pounds on a calf. We feel blessed to have had great support from our customers in the past and develop some life long friendships along the way.
