the fundamental principle o f liberty which is dearer than life, the precept that men shall live as equals under government by law, not by men. Law and order are pillars o f de mocracy on which our safety and welfare rest. W ithout law and order, our society would falter and be de stroyed. Law enforcement, as the main line o f resistance against all enemies o f our heritage, may indeed be proud o f its contributions to the growth o f a Nation founded on mu tual trust, understanding, and faith in God. On this Thanksgiving, we should lift our hearts in humble thanks fo r this special privilege and pledge to uphold our noble cause to promote tolerance, to preserve the rule o f law, and to protect and strengthen our God-given ideals and faith in freedom. W e Americans must never lose sight o f the fa ct that our power, wealth, and happiness come directly or indirectly from our belief in God. Let us commemorate Thanksgiving by refurbishing our religious ideals. And as we meet the forces through out the world which seek to destroy our way o f life, let us find strength in the Biblical quotation, “ I f God be fo r us, who can be against u s?” NOVEMBER AOROSTIC N ow thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ” (2 Cor. 2:14). O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name to gether” (Psa. 34:3). V erily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath ever lasting life” (John 6:47). E xalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy” (Psa. 99:5). M ake a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands” (Psa. 100 : 1 ). B less the Lord, 0 my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name” (Psa. 103:1). E nter into his gates with thanks giving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and b less his name” (Psa. 100:4). R ejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice” (Phil. 4 :4 ).

TRANSFORMED ! . . . because she's wanted. Latika was only one among the hundreds of orphaned and homeless children saved from unspeakable poverty in India by our ministry. Her weak, undernourished body gradually gained normal childhood vigor, but her most amazing transformation was spiritual, since she learned to know and love the Saviour. Mukti means "Salvation" — the central purpose of this unique mission founded in 1889 by Pandita Ramabai, the great Sanskrit scholar and reformer who renounced

everything to follow Christ. Over the years, Mukti has kept its doors open to unwanted children and unmarried mothers who desperately need the ministry of Christian love. At this moment, there are 750 girls and women living within Mukti's portals. Each group of children has a matron and a staff

member to guide, teach, and surround them with Christ's presence. By investing only $12 a month, you can support an ophaned child like Latika. O r for $20 a month, you Can provide support of a teacher, nurse, matron-mother, or Bible woman recruited from among trained Indian nationals. Remembering this ministry in your W ill will multiply the results.
