Denver is losing lease records and division order analyst positions at a rate comparable to the job losses in the 1980’s. Most are the result of mergers and acquisitions. The acquiring companies are moving the work to their existing offices in other states. While it is hard to find available analysts right now, once the mergers are completed and the work is transitioned to the new offices, we will have experienced analysts available for work. As we struggle to keep DADOA in existence, we are looking at alternative ways to stay active and relevant. As we uncover solutions, we will let you know. The Houston Association of Division Order Analysts (HADOA) closed out 2024 with a successful Holiday Luncheon at the Petroleum Club of Houston, where members came together to celebrate and give back to the community. Their generosity was on full display as they raised $1,540 in support of The Beacon, an organization dedicated to aiding Houston’s homeless population. As the new year begins, HADOA is transitioning leadership, with Cyrus Perkins concluding his tenure as President and moving into a Board Advisor role. The organization is excited to welcome Rebekah Jones as the 2025 President, alongside a dynamic new Board that promises to bring fresh energy and leadership. Looking ahead, HADOA has an exciting lineup of events planned for 2025. On February 6-7, HADOA participated in NAPE, providing another enriching experience for members and industry professionals. Attendees connected with 2024 President Cyrus Perkins and 2025 President Rebekah Jones at Booth #1531. Additionally, HADOA is hosting an informative webinar on February 26, 2025, featuring Erica Honeycutt, CPLTA, CDOA, from Honeycutt Solutions and Lando Solutions LLC. The session will provide valuable insights into best practices for matching leases with division order records, benefiting both seasoned professionals and newcomers in the

This exceptional group brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from across the oil and gas industry. We are grateful to these individuals for volunteering their time to support and enhance the member experience. Our first monthly luncheon of the year will be held on February 19 at the Bush Convention Center.
