late to the One who said, "I am the resurrection and the life," (John 11:25). Can it be that we have become so infatuated with the Body and its "Nervous System" that we tiave pushed the Head into a secondary position, so much so that we are portraying to the world a headless Body; (a headless horseman)? For your consideration may I suggest that much of the confusion, and even a great portion of the discord related to the charismatic moveĀ ment of the day could very well stem from this possibility. In the fable of Ichabod Craine no one would believe his story of the headless horseman. It may well be that the world is having a problem in accepting our offer of salvation in Christ for the same reason. Perhaps we are offering them a "headless horseman."
If the Head is "missing," or even if he is being obscured, it is time we restored a proper perspective. Let the world see a total Being . . . Head and Body, that they might not be skeptical or confused. "Now the Cod of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen" (Hebrews 13:21, 22).
