What do green fields sound like? Please – I’d like to know. What’s the smell of grass seeds plucked from tender heads; Like sweet smoke gliding on a breeze? Please – I’d like to know.
Will you crumble moss into my palm And beat my brow with the sun? Oh, tease a single thorn down my spine And peel my flesh from its suit.
I’m interested in sustaining a green thought And watering it with the tears of quiet moments I’m interested in sharing a peach Beneath a peach tree And sleeping in its silent green shade.
