OOn behalf of the Miller Family and Miller Angus Farms, we would like to invite you to our 102nd year Anniversary Top Tier Bull & Female Sale. We have been in the registered Angus seedstock business for 102 years running now, since 1923 and what a ride it has been. As always, we hope this catalog finds you in great health and high spirits. What a year it has been to be in the cattle business! Record prices, volatility and strong demand for the #1 protein to mankind has been the focus and the headlines for this past year. God Bless America! What a time to be able to witness such happenings amongst our livelihood of being in the cattle business. What is happening now in the cattle business will be stories to be told for generations. We are extremely excited and blessed to be able to present to you the pinnacle of 102 years in the making. Every year we strive to produce better cattle with the most progressive genetics new or old to be able to go out and perform at the highest of capabilities for you, our dear customers. It has taken years of trial and error and ups and downs to achieve what we believe is a solid offering for you. We are sure proud of the set of bulls and females that we have cumulated from the development and cut from a large percentile group of bulls and heifers from this years calf crop. We have continued over the years and generations of simple but critical selection of traits that our cow herd must be endowed with. Maternal merit, growth efficiency, adequate calving ease, fertility, soundness, structural integrity, mothering ability, disposition and natural fleshing ability. We try and manage our cow herd with the commercial rancher mindset and try to keep a no nonsense attitude going in to running our cow herd. We keep our EPD numbers in check but also go above and beyond the “paper trail” to ensure that our cow herd is running in a direction where they will catch the eye of everybody and keep us all in business as American Cattlemen. Phenotype and the simplicity of striving to raise good quality cattle is our main focus. A person can get so caught up in the numbers game and the trends and fads of todays industry. We on the other hand, try and stick to the basics and produce cattle that work for everybody. We love what we do every day and we must like what we see in front of us and with what we are working with to make our livelihood that much more enjoyable. On behalf of my family and our ranch, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you. If you are new to our operation and sale, thank you for your interest! To the repeat customers, thank you! It is because of all of you that keeps our wheels turning and our pastures full of beautiful angus cattle. Your support is what allows us to go into each day with a blessing. As far as the sale offering goes, we feel this is the strongest set of bulls and females, top to bottom, that we have ever offered in our 102 years of rais- ing angus cattle. I know it sounds cliché and we may say that from year to year, but that is truly our goal as we go into each year. We are never 100% successful or content as we want to progress and strive to raise the best of the best genetics for you as cattlemen and cattlewomen. You are our focus and your cow herd is our #1 priority. Continuing to build our bulls better with performance orientation as well as moving forward to make our females more maternal and more valuable to you as mama cows is something we take very seriously. We go by our business motto and dedicate it to you as customers. “Perfomance.Pounds.Profit. The –M- Brand Guarantee! We have dug deep to offer you the set of bulls we are bringing to Watertown. This is set of yearling bulls is as consistent as we have offered from top to bottom. They have been managed and fed as athletes, not fat cattle and have been on a high roughage diet since they came off grass. The two-year old bulls are PROVEN breeders and are as deep as we have ever offered. Once they were pulled from the heifers and cows, they were kicked out to a big pasture where they maintained exercise until old man winter set in. This year, we have dug even deeper into the keeper pen of heifers to bring you not 10 BUT 41 head of elite “ready to breed” replacement heifers. This is something that was not an easy decision for us. In fact, it hurts to let these heifers leave as we know the impact they would have on our own cow herd. But, we are extremely excited to see the impact that they will go on to make in your cow herds. A wise man that I look up to, once told me that if they don’t hurt to sell, they are not worthy of keeping for yourself. There is a lot of truth to that and I couldn’t agree more. We are absolutely thrilled to offer these divas to you on the public stage. All bulls will be semen tested prior to sale day. 2 year olds will all have passed a trich test as well. The heifers have been bangs vaccinated and have all received their first round of breeding vaccinations. Once again, we would like to thank you for the continued support and the friendships and relationships built over the years and look forward to doing business with you all. The trust that you put in our genetics is something we hold close and we can’t thank you enough. The bulls and females can be viewed any time prior to sale day at the ranch.
