Head of Estates - Kent Police

Dear Applicant,

“Thank you for taking the time to find out more about the appointment of Head of Estates with Kent Police.

Kent Police seek to serve and protect the population of 1.7m people within the County. Operating across a diverse landscape including rural and urban locations, the Force also faces unique challenges, including covering the main gateway to Europe through three ports, the Channel Tunnel as well as a number of airfields and one of the busiest road networks in the country. Kent Police is embarking on an exciting period of estate transformation in order to reconfigure its portfolio so that it is fit for purpose, in the correct locations whilst providing an efficient workplace for officers and staff to facilitate the delivery of a first class service to the people of Kent and Medway. This is in line with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Priorities of the Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner. The role of Head of Estates is appointed to ensure effective implementation of the Estate Strategy, whilst providing continued recommendations for improvement and driving performance through a team of property professionals. The current strategy outlines the creation of an accessible and cost effective “hub” portfolio which meets the needs of agile and modern policing whilst partnering with external organisations – particularly other blue light organisations to encourage collaboration and the adoption of shared services.”
