Eta Alpha-University of New Hampshire

By Anna Claire Howard

The home of Alpha Phi's Eta Alpha Chapter at the University of New Hampshire in Durham underwent a highly anticipated renovation last summer where two of the shared hall bathrooms were converted to spa- style restrooms and the living spaces were completely refreshed with new furnishings and fixtures.

Built in 1885, the house is a 11,855 square feet and can sleep 50 members. There are four dedicated lounge areas, four communal bathrooms, two powder bathrooms, one main kitchen and one large dining area located on the main floor. The second and third floors feature their own kitchenettes, as well.

Located only 0.2 miles — or one block — from campus, this house offers Alpha Phi's members the ideal on-campus living experience and includes its own parking lot behind the chapter facility. Residents especially enjoy the chapter house’s fast wireless internet that is completely separate from the university’s Wi-Fi.
