Stop Two
THE SWEET TRAIL At just longer than 4 miles, this nature trail can be a bit of a challenging hike, but the views make the trek worth it. Located near Longmarsh Preserve and Colby Marsh, you are guaranteed to see a variety of landscapes, including upland forests and tidal salt marshes. At the end of this trail, you’ll be met with the shore of Great Bay, which is a part of the Lubberland Creek Preserve. Bring your lunch and binoculars and plan for a picnic while enjoying beautiful views of Vols Island and the bay.

Stop One
EMERY FARM Emery Farm is a local market, café and farm established in 1655. It offers a wide range of sustainable and locally made goods for sale in addition to a restaurant (the apple cider donuts are a must-try!), garden center, petting zoo, farm animals to observe and seasonal offerings like blueberry picking and Christmas trees.
A short drive from the Granite State's coast, there’s plenty to do and see in Durham, New Hampshire, home to Alpha Phi’s Eta Alpha Chapter. Durham is approximately 64 square kilometers in size and is located in Strafford County, New Hampshire. Home to the Wildcats, the University of New Hampshire was founded in 1866, and Alpha Phi’s chapter there was established in 1872. Whether you’re wanting to stick close to campus or explore it’s sprawling natural scenery, there's plenty to see and enjoy in this cute New England town.
Stop Three
LONGMARSH PRESERVE Escape into nature at the 73-acre
Longmarsh Preserve. With a variety of different environmental habitat including wetlands and marshes, there’s plenty of space to become one with nature from dawn until dusk. Birding and fishing are also popular activities here.
Stop Four
UNH OBSERVATORY Don’t forget to set aside time to get lost in the stars at the University of New Hampshire’s Observatory. While the UNH Physics Department uses this observatory for educational purposes, public observation sessions take place every first and third Saturday of the month. Private sessions are also available. A fun and educational experience for all ages, staff is available on site to assist visitors with observations.
