Gamma Rho-Pennsylvania State Penn State Members Honored with Prestigious University Awards We are thrilled to share that two members from Alpha Phi’s Gamma Rho Chapter at Pennsylvania State University recently took home prestigious awards for outstanding academic achievement and impact in their community. Gianna Brown , a senior at Penn State, received the Evan Pugh Junior Scholar Award and the President Walker Award. This award is issued to students who are in the upper 0.5 percent of their respective classes and who have completed at least 48 Penn State credits as well as at least 60 cumulative credits at the end of the fall semester of said academic year. They must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.99 or above. Gianna also won the President Walker award in 2022, which is issued to students who have earned a 4.0 cumulative GPA based on at least 12 graded Penn State credits completed during their first semester of admission. Additionally, Kendall Kutzavitch , also a senior, received the Sally McCall Grant Scholarship from the Alpha Phi Foundation. This prestigious award recognizes members who make a positive impact on Alpha Phi and Panhellenic communities. She has also won the President Walker Award, as well as the Edward Nichols Award (which is given annually by the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State and recognizes outstanding fiction and creative nonfiction writing by full-time undergraduate students) and the Thomas R and Joan G Dye scholarship in political science.
