Nu-Nebraska

Alpha Phi Sister Fulfills Lifelong Goal of Becoming a

College Graduate After graduating from Lincoln High in 1939, Marion Patton Larmon attended the University of Nebraska where she was initiated as a member of Alpha Phi’s Nu chapter. However, due to the Great Depression and World War II, she was not able to complete her education at that time. This did not prevent her from living an exciting and successful life. After the world settled down, Marion went on to work as a stenographer for the FBI. She also earned her commercial pilot license and dedicated herself to music and community service. In December, she received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree and officially became a Nebraska graduate (although she has always been a Husker). Congratulations, Marion! What a proud moment for you, your Nu-Nebraska family and our Fraternity.
