By Finding a Gym That Feels Comfortable Cesar Renews His Love of the Game

“Whenever I have extra time, I go workout.”

says. His wife and daughter have joined as well, and they’re hoping to get their daughter into tennis this year. “They have a great program for kids,” Cesar says. Cesar stays active by tapping into the variety of programs our club has to offer. “On the weekends I play tennis, and I like the Les Mills classes, like Grit. I also do spin classes. I like everything! Whenever I have extra time, I come work out,” he says. Cesar expresses that in the beginning, he came to the club for workouts and classes. “I didn’t play tennis at first,” he says. He’d played all through his school days, but stopped in college. Fore Court renewed his love for the game. “It’s like the game — if you don’t play, you do okay; if you do [play], you always want to play better,” he says. “At Fore Court, they offer something for every level — whether you’re a beginner or advanced player.” He’s grateful for the pros who coach members to bring their best to each match. “Sedge is one of the best. He’s an old-school player who knows everything about the game,” Cesar says. “We are lucky to have him at Fore Court.”

About 10 years ago, Cesar and his family moved to Rhode Island from Portugal. It didn’t take him long to find a gym, but it took awhile to find a fitness facility where he felt like more than a number. “I was a member of another gym before, and they had a different approach,” Cesar says. “I came to Fore Court, and everyone cares about you. They want to make sure you feel comfortable.”

It was thanks to Cesar’s friend and neighbor, Jeff, that he found his way here. Cesar mentioned to Jeff that he wasn’t happy with his gym. As a Fore Court Member, Jeff suggested that Cesar give it a try, and we have been his fitness home ever since. “The people are nice, the owners are amazing, and I feel really comfortable,” Cesar

And we are lucky to have Cesar as a member! Thanks for making Fore Court your choice for staying fit and having fun!
