Gasteria Gasteria is a genus of relatively rare, aloe-like plants. Commonly known as "ox tongue" because it typically has long leaves with a rough texture. Depending on the species, gasteria leaves also are oftenmarkedwith exciting patterns and colors. Moreover, mature gasteria plants typically produce tubular, curved flowers in the winter to spring. Gasteria are native tomore shaded regions of South Africa, making themone of the best choices for indoor succulents with lower light requirements.
