Things To Do Around Blyth Blyth is a bustling port town with a rich history that has managed to maintain it’s identity, and there is plenty to do with restaurants, beaches and beautiful parks - Blyth is a town full of culture. BLYTH SOUTH BEACH Blyth South Beach is a long, wide, golden stretch of sand, backed by a system of dunes which are a haven for wildlife and a designated nature conservation area. Blyth South is the perfect spot for sunbathing, and for those of you who want to hang- ten, there is a surf school right on the beach. NORTHUMBERLANDIA Located 7.5 miles from Blyth, Northumberlandia is a perfect place to explore on a relaxing walk. The centrepiece of the park is a stunning human landform sculpture of a reclining lady - made of 1.5 million tonnes of rock, clay and soil, she is 100 feet high and a quarter of a mile long. Northumberlandia is a unique piece of public art set in a 46-acre community park with free public access. BLYTH MARKET From new and second-hand books, bedding plants, craft goods, haberdashery to confectionery and meat - Blyth Market is still one of the key focus points of the town.
