Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential • Familiar with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and all associated regulation and best practice. • Five years + experience managing and overseeing multi-disciplined projects up to £10m in value. • Experience in delivering complex projects in occupied properties, and in and around busy and complex public realm. • Detailed knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Public health services. • Degree level education or suitable equivalent professional experience and qualifications in project management, procurement, construction management etc. Membership in professional bodies (RICS, CIBSE, CIOB IET, IWFM, etc.). • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of RIBA work stages • Hard service or construction background and experience. • IOSH Management Safely. • Ability to work effectively with staff, tenants, service providers and contractors, excellent managerial and inter-personal skills with a proven track record in cross-team delivery. • Good strategic vision and a strong commitment to customer service. • Extensive knowledge of operating Microsoft Office applications. • Extensive experience of delivering to and reporting against an agreed budget. • Excellent time management skills with ability to respond to client/contract deadlines. Desirable • Previous project management/clerk of works experience within a private estate. • Suitable project management qualification(s). • Member of a professional body such as CIBSE, IET, IWFM, RCS, CIOB or APM. • NEBOSH general and/or construction qualifications. • Experience of working on listed buildings and within conservation areas, knowledge of planning applications and approvals processes. • Working knowledge and experience of the mechanical and electrical services industry and key factors affecting it. • A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislative health and safety requirements in relation to MEP services and construction e.g. ACOP L8. and hold a recognised health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH/IOSH • Building and CIBSE knowledge. • Good understanding of property management. • Service charge management • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Able to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
