$500,000 in matching funds to help members work locally to build the future manufacturing workforce. “Nancy is known in the industry for her unwavering com- mitment to growing and developing the roles of women and the next generation in today’s workforce,” says Tracy Stout, vice president, marketing & communications, PMMI. “PMMI is honored to have Nancy extensively involved in our organization and we look forward to celebrating her achievements during the STEP Ahead Awards.” An active PMMI member for over a decade, Wilson helps drive the strategic plan for the industry as an elected member of the Board of Directors. As Chairperson of the Future Workforce Committee, she led the group in estab- lishing $500,000 in matching funds to help members work locally to build the future manufacturing workforce. She has brought her experience to the Executive Coun- cil of PMMI’s Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network (PPWLN), a group that serves to recruit and ad- vance women’s careers in the industry by bringing estab- lished female leaders together with young professionals. Additionally, Wilson serves local Chicagoland commu- nity groups, including the Southland Development Au- thority, where she was recently appointed to the founding Board of Directors. Seeking to improve the community and solve for workforce development and economic needs, these groups fulfill Wilson’s passion to promote education and opportunities for young leaders to grow and serve the Chicago Southland.
Wilson’s outstanding work as a manufacturer and lead- er in her community earned her recognition as a 2020 honoree. She currently serves as the CEO of Morrison Container Handling Solutions, in Glenwood, Illinois, a rec- ognized leader in the packaging machinery manufacturing industry providing custom designed container handling systems, timing screws and change parts for national and international companies since 1971. Since assuming full ownership and operational responsibility from husband and founder Nick Wilson in 2012, Wilson has driven growth strategies that position the company to be at the forefront of industry innovation now and into the future. Prior to joining Morrison in 2011, Wilson enjoyed a dis- tinguished 25-year career in sales and marketing at Ford Motor Company, in leadership positions ranging from op- erations to strategic marketing to new business develop- ment. Here, Wilson built a track record as a problem-solver and revenue-generator, making a clear impact with each new assignment. Wilson’s reach goes beyond Morrison. An active member for over a decade of PMMI, the lead- ing global resource for the packaging and processing industries, Wilson was elected to the Board of Directors, where she helps drive the strategic plan for the industry and foster success in the global marketplace for member companies and also is the chairperson of the Future Work- force Committee, where she led the group in establishing
