There is a rolling programme for major long term maintenance work which aligns with the development of the campus, Health and Safety demands and a ten year projected work plan. Building condition surveys are conducted regularly to ascertain maintenance requirements and to determine priorities. Typical long-term maintenance works include: • Re-roofing • Replacement boilers • Replacing out dated electrical installations • Replacement of artificial sports surfaces • High Voltage and low voltage upgrades • Lighting replacement programmes The department also provides help, advice and assistance into the development team with • Engineering Consultancy • Engineering Infrastructure Planning This is delivered through the development and updating of Engineering Specifications and tender documentation preparation.
