The teachers made a few suggestions for how to improve various components of the RISE/Up program: Things to Add Things to Modify
“Add visuals to the comprehension cards for ELL students”
Timing - “more time to get through Station 1”
Teacher manuals - “combining stations into 1 lesson book…time-consuming to fip through 4 lesson books”, “since on teacher manages all four stations, the stations being in diferent books was difcult” Program length - “Needs to be developed into a three-day program”, “each station needs to be 30 minutes each”
Add a sight word component: “review and teach sight words”
“Student take home books…actual texts to send home for our school’s population”
