Observers rated an item N/A when a teacher was engaged in other tasks that prevented them from monitoring student performance or providing feedback. For example, during one observation a teacher left to attend an IEP meeting and another teacher sUpervised her class. In other classrooms, RISE appeared to be an established routine, so there was little discussion prior to logging on and beginning work (therefore it was difcult to assess teacher qualities like enthusiasm and wait time).
