In observance of this occasion and in the spirit of community, the brothers donated two Bubble-ER intubation apparatuses to LBJ Hospital’s Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Hou- ston, TX and two to JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. Spring 1996 initiates of the Prairie View A&M University Chapter the Zeta Beta of "With COVID-19 having such a devas- tating impact on our world and on those medical professionals fighting everyday to defeat it, we felt it was important our health care heroes have all the resources, expertise and equipment to be successful in this battle," stated Dr. Razak Balogun (Zeta Beta 1996). "We recognized the needs of the many medical professionals, many of whom are our friends, who were putting there lives at risk fighting the novel coronavi- rus. We saw a need and sought to fill it." The Bubble-ER is a non-invasive device that maximizes protective assistance during patient intubation. The Bubble- ER delivers the most mobile controlled environment, applied in the shortest amount of time, that limits the spread of infectious diseases, airborne droplets and maximizes medical staff protection. In response to the COVID-19 Pan- demic and to better meet the needs of this patient population, my hospital has converted many of our Units into Covid Units. We have also created a Covid ICU. This product is a great resource to use to support life sustaining measures specific to this population. Zeta Beta, is the 144 th chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. The spring 1996 initiates are active in charitable giving throughout Houston TX, Dallas TX, Brooklyn NY, Milan Italy and Phoe- nix Arizona.
