Smith, Jr. was preced- ed in death by his parents and brothers Melvin and Larry Smith. He is survived by devoted wife of 13 years, Sandi (née Moody) Smith; daughter, Stacee McWil- liams, three sons, Brian Bradley, James (Claire) Smith IV, and Elder Kiflyn (Ivonne) Ernest Smith, and a stepson, Carlton White; sisters: Ruby, Elizabeth, Lorraine, and Jeanette; brothers: Fred, Robert and Craig. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Randolph L. Smith 1950–2019 Teacher, Civilian Director

Brother Randolph L. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee Smith and Emma Smith Allen; and stepfather, Russell Allen. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Smith; children, LaToya (Erick) Pryor, LaMar (Nicole) Smith, and LaNard Smith (Jasmyne Wheeler – future daughter- in-law); his 4 grandchildren, Erick Pryor Jr., Emmanuel Pryor, Syncere Smith and Savion Smith; brother, Sylvester (Charlotte) Smith; sister, Carol (Charles) Cook, and a host of other relatives and friends.
James "Jimmi" . Smith, Jr. (Eta
1968) entered the Chapter Invisible on January 1, 2020,
in Lansing, KS at the age of 71. Smith was born March 9, 1948,
in Gordo, AL to James Sr., and Estelle Smith. At an early age, his family moved, and he was raised in Midland, PA. In 1967, he earned a football scholarship to attend the University of Nebraska – Lin- coln where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary and middle school education. He subsequently earned M.A degree in education. While employed by the University of Nebraska, Smith worked in the Black Studies as well as the Ethnic Studies Departments. He also provided training for the "Teacher of Teachers" program. In 1974, he was named the Director of the Multi-Cultural Affairs Office, and served in that position for 30 years. Later, he was employed as the Director of the TRIO Programs (Student Sup- port Services, Upward Bound-Lincoln/ Norfolk, Upward Bound Math Science, Talent Search, and McNair). Smith was a Founder of the Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska Foundation; and also helped to found the Big 10 MEF MAEOPP Education Foundation. Brother Smith retired after working with Emporia State University, and managing their Upward Bound Office for Leaven- worth, KS and surrounding areas. After retirement, he became a very active member of Bethel where he served as a faithful Church Steward for many years. He worked diligently as an officer of the Sons of Allen organization, attend- ing Sunday School and had a recurring role as the Disciple Phillip in the annual

Randolph Lee Smith (Gamma Xi 1970), 69, of Newport News, VA, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2019. Brother
known as "Rick" was born May 1, 1946, in Wilmington, DE to the late Ricardo Sr. and Nettie E. Taylor. He was edu- cated at Holy Spirit School in Sharon Hill, PA and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA. He graduated from college from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Taylor subsequently earned his M.A. degree in education administration from Glassboro State College (Rowan University). Taylor was a long-time educator in the Pennsauken School System for 42 years, serving as an English Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and retired from the district serving as Director of Personnel. Taylor was a member of the Pennsauken Township Committee of which he served as Mayor for 9 years. His board affiliations include Commissioner of the
Smith was born on February 10, 1950 in Gretna, VA. He was the second of three children born to the late Henry Lee Smith and Emma Smith Allen. He was a graduate of Northside High School in Gretna, VA and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD. He married the love of his life, Patricia Williams Smith, on August 9, 1975. Smith worked as an art teacher in the Newport News Public School System for seven years. He then began a career working as a civilian at the Fort Eustis Army Installation as Director of the MWR (Morale, Welfare and
