This situation has been compared to the Botham Jean killing. The former officer has been charted with murder.
It took nearly 75 days before the assailants were arrested.

On March 1 st , the 55 th Anniversary of March on Selma is observed. On March 13, a national state of emergency is declared due to the coro- navirus outbreak in the United States. — On March 13, Breonna Taylor was fatally shot by police officers in Lou- isville using a no-knock search warrant to her apartment. — On March 25, George Floyd died when Minne- apolis police officer kept his knee on his neck for eight minutes and 46 sec- onds while being videoed. — On June 12, Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by a City of Atlanta police officer. The incident was videoed and widely shared. The officer was charged with felony murder. — Demands for justice are ongoing across the world.
