Dear Friends, One of the most astute cattlemen that ever walked the face of the earth was Dave Pingrey. He stated that the only way to truly evaluate a cow is “In the real world on grass.” That is what we have done for over 90 years. We start each year with about 60 heifers, but by the time they are five we have about 30 remaining in our production herd. We don’t just collect data, we use data! We have found over the years, using data and cowboy logic, that the following statements ring true. Foundation traits not fads will move you forward. Many times, the hot sires will burn you. In the cow/calf business when one puts a pencil to their practices, they discover the need to focus on profit per acre not profit per cow. Better is always more advantageous than bigger. Choose balance over extremes. The bulls and pairs in this sale are the result of the above philosophies applied. Don Laughlin from Missouri might have stated this best, “Control genetic improvement, don’t risk it.” We would like to thank three great employees who are great people, Gaudencio, Javier and Salvador. Their dedication is one of the biggest reasons of our success. We welcome you to contact us and come inspect the cattle before the sale. We will likely have more time to visit and answer questions than on sale day. Your greatest opportunity for better profits in the cattle business is with PROVEN Angus genetics. Sincerely, The Elliott Family MONDAY • NOON CST FEBRUARY 23, 2026 AT THE FARM • 1291 N. STROUDSVILLE ROAD, ADAMS, TN v e r s a r
Robert Elliott & Sons has been recognized by the American Angus Association for their commitment to collecting and submission of data on multiple traits to AHIR. This data builds the foundation to help move the Angus breed and the beef industry forward. This past year we were recognized for collecting and submitting data on at least 11 traits on the animals in our herd.
Raising quality registered Angus that can thrive in the real world takes commitment. Here at Robert Elliott & Sons we are dedicated to improving Angus genetics to better serve the beef industry. This all starts with the cow and that is why ALL of our cows are enrolled in Maternal Plus which is a whole herd inventory reporting system.
