NOTE: All bulls and cows were given two rounds of pinkeye vaccine in the spring of 2025. Ocu-guard MB1 (Boehringer) and an Au- togenous vaccine. You should consult your Vet to see what pinkeye vaccines work in your area. CALVES — In Force 3 (Zoetis) at birth. Dewormed and lice treat- ment with DECTOMAX (Zoetis) at 4-6 weeks of age. THESE CALVES WILL NEED TWO ROUNDS OF SHOTS AT OR ABOUT WEANING TO GET TOP IMMUNITY. WE RECOMMEND THESE PRODUCTS BECAUSE THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB FOR US. REMEMBER TO GIVE SHOTS AND HEALTH TREATMENTS ACCORDING TO BEEF QUALITY ASSURANCE (BQA) GUIDELINES AND READ THE LABEL.
We use the products listed below because we have found them to work in our program. Our Vet, Dr. Darrel Holt, will be at our sale to answer any questions you might have about our health program. ULTRABAC 7/SOMUBAC (Zoetis) 7 Way Blackleg and Somnus. COWS — After calving at least 30 days before breeding dewormed and lice treatment with Dectomax pour on (Zoetis). Boosters were given as follows: Bovi-Sheild Gold FP5 and Spirovac VL5 (Zoetis). IBR, BVD, PI3, BRSV, Leptospira Harjo Bovis, 5 way Lepto + Vibrio. ULTRABAC 7/SOMUBAC (Zoetis) 7 Way Blackleg and Somnus.
We have had a closed herd for years and years, the only genetics we bring in are through semen or embryos. Our herd is Certified Brucellosis free, #56521. For over 40 years we have tested our entire herd yearly for Johne’s and BLV. We have always had a clean test. All bulls and cows have tested PI free. Tennessee has been a TB free state for over 25 years.
