Proudly Supporting Cork Pride 2023
Our PRISM Employee Resource Group PRISM is one of 6 Employee Resource Groups in Musgrave. PRISM stands for ‘Proudly Recognising Individuality and Sexuality at Musgrave’. PRISM is focused on making Musgrave a more inclusive and diverse organisation for members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community. Some of the key outcomes achieved by the PRISM ERG to date include:
Participating in a Trans Inclusion training programme with TENI (Transgender Equality Network Ireland) to understand the challenges faced by members of the Trans community and how we can support them in Musgrave. Working with our HR team to create a Workplace Gender Transitioning Guide for Musgrave and launching it on International Transgender Day of Visibility in March 2023. Acting as a point of contact for colleagues seeking support or guidance on LGBTQ+ topics. Attending community events and conferences to promote Musgrave as an inclusive organisation and place to work.
Supporting Pride with Summer of Pride Campaign
At Musgrave, we are delighted to celebrate Pride and show our support for the LGBTQ+ community with our ‘Summer of Pride’ campaign. In partnership with PRISM, our Employee Resource Group (ERG) for Musgrave LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies, we are looking forward to having a host of activities take place across the Island of Ireland over the summer months. These include our annual ‘Prideside in Conversation’ with a number of internal speakers and external special guests, local team and colleague events, awareness days and more. Musgrave, together with our brands including SuperValu are proud supporters of inclusive and diverse communities across the Island of Ireland. We are delighted to have our Pride rainbow laces available to buy instore. Proceeds from the sale will go to support Belong To, LGBTQ+ Youth Ireland. Celebrating Pride is one part of our wider Inclusion & Diversity agenda across Musgrave where we continue to cultivate an inclusive work environment In SuperValu, we believe #CommunityIncludesEveryone
