A Message from the Executive Director
In March of 2023, the Rehab Center reached a milestone, 70 years of serving the community! Over those 70 years the staff and board of the Rehab Center have focused on providing life changing therapy services to all who need them. We continued that mission in 2023 by providing 24,407 therapy sessions to 2,254 patients from 35 counties in West Texas. Those sessions helped our patients communicate, crawl, walk and care for themselves. What a privilege to be able to provide help and hope to those who need it! In addition to that, 2023 was full of great accomplishments and wonderful support from a compassionate and generous community. Our fundraisers, including a golf tournament, were successful. We completed a new strategic plan as we work to identify how we can better serve the people of West Texas. In addition, the installation of a much-needed new HVAC system began. I want to thank our exceptional staff, not only for their hard work, but for pouring their heart into serving our patients. I am so grateful for all of our dedicated board members who are always available with help and support. Thank you to all of our donors who are willing to give to ensure the patients of West Texas get the services they need. Lastly, thank you to our patients and their families who trust us to help them on their journey.

JOHNNY 2024 Patient Representative
JACE 2023 Patient Representative
It was an awesome year working with Jace as our 2023 patient representative and our staff and board are so proud of all that he has accomplished! Diagnosed with Autism and Apraxia, Jace started receiving therapy services at PBRC in 2020. At that time he was a quiet, withdrawn three year old struggling to connect with the world around him. He has grown to become a vivacious, entertaining 6 year old that has never met a stranger. In speech therapy, Jace no longer struggles to communicate with others and is not only working on speaking in complete sentences but enjoys singing and rapping his favorite tunes with the therapy staff. In occupational therapy, Jace is working on dressing skills especially buttoning, zipping, and tying his shoes. He is also working hard in feeding therapy and is now open to trying new foods. All of Jace’s accomplishments have been made because of the support the Rehab Center receives from donors like you.
Meet Johnny – our 2024 patient representative!
Johnny Jimenez, a spicy 6-year-old, diagnosed with AMC and scoliosis, has never let his diagnoses stop him. AMC has impacted every joint in Johnny’s body including his fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and spine. He currently wears a thoracic brace and will continue to have multiple orthopedic procedures due to his condition. Tune in to our 47th Annual Telethon April 27, 2024 to meet Johnny and learn more about this amazing little guy!
