Mantis Shrimp

Mantis shrimps, or stomatopods, are marine crustaceans of the order Stomatopoda. They branched from other members of the class Malacostraca around 400 million years ago. Mantis shrimps typically grow to around 10 centimetres in length.

The Mantis Shrimp, a shrimp looking creature, but with the looks of a shrimp. It is both beautiful, and deadly. Here are some reasons why: You might be asking, “Why are these Shrimp beautiful?” They have the body of a normal shrimp but the top body of a mantis. The Mantis shrimp have an assortment of colors on their body, as if they jumped out of coral. Aside from the body of the Mantis shrimp, their eyes are special. Do you wonder why the eyes look like that? It is because they see more colors than us. The human eyes can only see three colors, combined let us enjoy different colors. The mantis

ability to shoot a spear type object into their prey as fast as a bullet. They can go right through your aquarium glass, so having one as a pet is not a good idea.
