Do You Wear Sunscreen?

Let’s talk about sunscreen, do you know what it is ? Sunscreen is a lotion or spray that you put on to absorb or reflect harmful rays from the sun. What’s in Sunscreen? Sunscreen has SPF which stands for sun protection factor. The amount of SPF in the sunscreen tells you how much longer it will take you to burn when wearing that sunscreen. For example, if the sunscreen is SPF 15, it will take 15 times longer for you to burn. You should reapply all sunscreens every two hours! Why Should We Wear Sunscreen? Because the sun gives off harmful ultraviolet rays which are harmful to your skin and can cause skin cancer. During the summer, UV rays are usually strongest from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The longer you’re in the sun, the more you will be exposed to these harmful rays. This is why you should wear sunscreen to protect your skin! Did you know that concrete, sand, water and even snow can reflect rays from the sun onto you? Its true, these surfaces reflect 85% of rays from the sun onto your skin!
