The Vampire Squid

The vampire squid is a small cephalopod found in tropical oceans and they stay in the extreme depth of the ocean. A cephalopod is an active predatory mollusk of the large class Cephalopod, such as an octopus or squid. The scientific name for this magnificent beast of the sea is Vampyroteuthis infernalis. Big name, right? The squid also is big in size. The average size in length is twenty-eight centimeters. (11.02ft) The vampire squid average life span is believed to be eight years. This creature feeds on organic debris from the ocean surface.
