From the desk of Dr. Cathy Beck, Director of CC Schools

Dear Readers, Happy New Year! January is always a good time for reflection, goal setting, and creating new habits. What are your goals for 2018? Perhaps it is to get better grades or maybe it is to read more books. Maybe you are interested in sports, music or art and want to get better. Perhaps your goal is to make new friends. Whatever the goal be sure you have an action plan in place to help you attain those goals. What do you need to do to reach them? Think baby steps. You do not have to reach them in a month; you have all of 2018 to get there. We at Cheatham County Schools have some ideas and plans for what we want our schools to look like in the next 5 years. We created goals and action steps too. What would you like to see in our schools? Please take some time and look at the draft of our 5-year plan. You can find it on the district website. We would love your feedback! Having goals and a plan of action is always a good idea. When you write them down and post them to look at everyday, chances are higher that you will reach them. I want to wish you a very Happy New Year! We are so excited to have you as a student in our schools. Our job is to help you reach all of your goals and dreams. Let us know how we can help. We would love to hear from you! Always, Dr. Cathy Beck ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE TOGETHER
