n Extremely young largemouth bass under 2” are known as “fry” and feed primarily on microcrustaceans and insect larvae. n A bass’ average lifespan is about 10-12 years. n Female smallmouth bass are usually larger than male smallmouth bass of the same age. n Bass reach maturity at the age of three or four years. n The smallmouth bass has a number of aliases: smallie, red eye, green trout, brown bass, bronzeback, and bareback bass. n Smallmouth bass break the surface of the water and become airborne when hooked, oftentimes even performing flips, in an effort to break free. n The lines on the sides of a smallmouth bass fade with age. n Smallmouth bass do better in the wild than in captivity. n Smallmouth bass grow larger in lakes than in streams. n The world record bass was caught on July 9, 1955 and weighed 11 pounds 15 ounces and measured 27 inches in length. n Bass never stop growing; the larger the fish the older it usually is. n The natural predator list for a bass is larger bass, northern pike, and musky. Love is in the air February is considered one of the most romantic months of the year. Some gifts you may choose to purchase or you may just simply choose to make or give a gift from the heart. Gifts you may purchase would be chocolate, jewelry, clothes, etc., and possibly some flowers. Some gifts you won’t have to purchase - they can just simply be made with your love such as: a romantic evening watching the sun set; have your significant other go on a treasure hunt to find all the ways you love them; building a craft just by you for them that took nothing but your time or whether it just be you writing a letter to them explaining how you feel and why you love them. Whether you get them a gift or you don’t, it’s the thought that counts and I guarantee you they will love you regardless. Your love and affection can be shown in many ways and forms for your significant other. Love is definitely a powerful emotion. There are some people or rather most people don’t know what love even is. If you look in the dictionary or you Google definition for love , it says, “an intense feeling of deep affection’.’ What they always say in fairy tales and stories is that when you are in love, your heart flutters like butterfly wings going ninety to nothing, but I like to think love means and is a ticklish sensation or feeling in your heart that can’t be scratched. by Makayla Richardson - Team Envy
