Head in Life’s Best Direction With These 3 Tools ARE YOU ON THE RIGHT TRACK?
INSIDE ISSUE
Imagine you’re nearing the end of your life and you’re looking back, reflecting on your life’s journey. What did your path look like? Did you take the direct route to abundance, or did you veer off at times and hit a few dead-ends? If you got off track, did you get back on the road to brighter destinations? To make sure you arrive at a life well-lived, it’s critical to not only identify your final destination, but to chart your course for getting there.
tools that provide granular clarity on your current progress and room for future improvement.

Once you have that perspective in mind, it’s helpful to zoom out to get a higher-level view — the kind that helps you create a big-picture vision of what you want out of your life from a mountain-top perspective.

WHAT MATTERS MOST Let’s begin with what matters most to you.

The Importance of Updating Beneficiary Designations
There is value in identifying the underlying motivators that influence our day-to-day life. These are often a mix of traits we inherited, principles we’ve learned, and perspectives we’ve picked up along the way. But all too often, we’re not fully in touch with these driving forces; we get buried in the day-to-day responsibilities of life and fail to reconnect with these things we yearn for most. I’ve created a tool to help you cut through the clutter and re-engage with what ignites your mind and soul. It’s called What Matters Most, and it helps you think through your core purpose, a critical aspect of each of the 3 Dimensions, as well as how you most want to spend your time on Earth. By design, it’s just one page and takes only a few minutes to complete. But those few minutes can catapult you into a lifetime of abundance. The tool also serves as a springboard into other 3 Dimensional Wealth tools, guiding you on next steps for more in-depth planning for the legacy you want to create. GAINING CLARITY Where to go next? Just like any adventure, we progress by taking one step after another, and after identifying What Matters Most, you can get clarity on your next steps by setting one primary goal in each of the 3 Dimensions of
And that brings us to today.

What’s Your 10 Keys Score?
Whether your past excursions have been nothing but abundance-minded or there have been detours and setbacks, don’t worry. What matters is where you are right now, in this moment, and where you go from here. In last month’s issue, I talked about creating a type of annual report for yourself and your family, using in-depth 3 Dimensional Wealth tools like the 3 Dimensional Wealth Scorecard and The Habits of Abundance Assessment. If you haven’t yet, I strongly encourage you to download both the scorecard and assessment — these are incredibly valuable

Authentic Wealth. And as you might have guessed, I’ve got a tool to help you do that, as well: The Clarity Statement. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by all the different improvements you want to make, The Clarity Statement helps you identify a single goal in each critical category. It also walks you through the BREAKthroughs (Barriers, Resources, Experiences, Actions, and Knowledge) you’ll need to achieve those goals. MAXIMIZING YOUR TIME Once you have a summary of What Matters Most to you and you’ve outlined your next big goals with The Clarity Statement, it’s important to get a big-
picture look at how you’ll manage your time in the coming year to live your best 3 Dimensional life. If you’ve read my book, "The 10 Keys Transformation," you’ll be familiar with my Life Balance System™. On the surface, the Life Balance System™ is relatively simple: You designate certain days for certain activities, each with its own color code:
Now, most people try to squeeze at least three if not all five activities into each and every day. But while it might be possible for a stretch at a time, it’s unsustainable. The inevitable gap that arises between expectations and reality can grind you down, make you less productive, and even make you feel like giving up. Instead, my Life Balance System™ Guide helps you understand how to designate entire days (or most of each day) to a specific category. Personally, I time-block my calendar at the beginning of each year, and I typically set aside up to 140 days for Re-creating, up to 140 days for Earning, and the rest I

LESSONS FROM THE CHICKEN COOP
FROM FEED TO EGGS, IT’S CLEAR — HARD WORK PAYS OFF
If you walk into our backyard, you’ll hear a lot of clucking.
to watch Shelby and Sienna dive into these life lessons.
In the winter the girls have to make sure their water doesn’t freeze, and in the summer they let the chickens out and watch them roam, eat grass, take dirt baths, and snack on bugs. When we have more eggs than we can eat, the girls deliver the extras to the neighbors. The only downside has been the smell — who knew a small group of chickens could make such a big stink?
It all started when my brother (and close neighbor), Emron, got chickens.
When we got baby chicks, for example, Sienna took on the responsibility of raising them to adulthood, keeping them in an indoor bin, and making sure our goldendoodle, Sunny, didn’t eat them (which wasn’t a worry, because as it turns out, they all love each other).
We eat eggs every day, so we thought it would be a great idea to follow their example and install our own coop. We started with a small enclosure, but then we couldn’t resist building something bigger and better for our little flock. Now it’s a 19’ x 9’ palace, which is still not as epic as the coops Emron and Harmony and my mom and dad installed for their chickens. (As you can tell, chickens are becoming a family trend!)
But the fresh eggs delicious and the experience has been invaluable.
Whether it’s chicken coops, pets, gardens, or other activities, I hope that you, too, can create opportunities for your children or grandchildren to learn the value of putting in hard work and reaping the rewards. –Aaron Andrew
Why talk about chicken coops in this article?
Because I’m sure just like you, Heather and I want to instill a strong work ethic in our kids. My grandpa grew up on a farm and worked at the steel mill. Both of our parents worked hard as well, and taught us the value of accountability, responsibility, and consistency in everything we do.
The girls go with me to the feed store to get supplies; they give the chickens healthy seeds and take out our food waste to supplement their diet; and they gather eggs every day.
We want to pass along those Foundational Dimension values to our girls, and it’s exciting

OPTIMIZING YOUR FAMILY TRUST
THE IMPORTANCE OF UPDATING BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS ROSS BRUNSON, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
divide among Learning, Organizing, and Strategizing. While life happens and I have to make adjustments throughout the year, it helps me yield the most from every 365 days by being intentional from the outset about how I’ll use my time. I invite you to take advantage of these tools to gain greater clarity, balance, focus, and confidence in your life, which can in turn help you lead your family in doing the same. (You can watch me explain more about these and other tools on my YouTube Channel: Doug Andrew–3 Dimensional Wealth, as well as download them with the QR code on page 1). Not
As 3 Dimensional Wealth teaches, building and preserving your family's Financial Dimension over multiple generations requires careful planning and strategic decision-making. A critical part of that planning includes establishing a family trust, which can help protect assets, mitigate taxes, and provide for future generations.
you can ensure that your assets align with your current wishes.
AVOID LEGAL FALLOUT Failing to update designations can result in unwanted consequences, such as ex-spouses receiving benefits or unintended beneficiaries inheriting assets. This can lead to disputes and lengthy legal battles, depleting the wealth you worked so hard to build. MAXIMIZE TAX EFFICIENCY Updating beneficiary designations can also maximize the tax efficiency of your family trust. Retirement accounts, for example, often have significant tax implications upon distribution. By naming the appropriate beneficiaries, such as your spouse, children, or grandchildren, you can minimize tax obligations and optimize the financial benefits for your loved ones. To update beneficiary designations on various accounts, it is essential to work closely with your estate planning attorney and financial advisors. They can provide guidance on the specific requirements and limitations associated with each account type. Additionally, they can help you navigate potential tax implications and ensure that your updates align with your overall estate planning goals. If this is all new to you, start by creating a family trust, but remember you don’t want to stop there. Regularly update your beneficiary designations on accounts held within that trust, working with professionals to ensure that your family's wealth is preserved and protected for generations to come.
only will you be able to seize opportunities you might never have otherwise, you’ll find yourself on a more certain path toward a fulfilling a 3 Dimensional Wealth life … and legacy.
However, simply creating a trust is not enough.
–Doug Andrew
REGULAR REVIEWS ARE CRITICAL It’s crucial to regularly review and update the beneficiary designations on various accounts, such as life insurance policies, retirement accounts, and bank accounts that are held within the trust. Why? Beneficiary designations play a pivotal role in ensuring that your assets are distributed according to your wishes after your passing. When you create a family trust, you transfer ownership of assets to the trust, and the trust becomes the legal owner of those assets. However, for certain accounts like life insurance policies, retirement accounts, and bank accounts, the trust cannot be the designated beneficiary. Instead, you must name individual beneficiaries directly on these accounts. ALIGNING THE TRUST WITH YOUR WISHES Life circumstances change over time, such as marriages, divorces, births, and deaths, which may impact your desired distribution of assets. By regularly reviewing and updating beneficiary designations,

WHAT’S YOUR 10 KEYS SCORE?
Identifying Your Next Big Moves
Get clarity on your business’s strengths and challenges. Download the 10 Keys Scorecard today!
As entrepreneurs, we’re often asked by clients to share business strategies, many of which are captured in Doug’s book, “The 10 Keys Transformation.” Here we share some of those insights with professionals in our 3 Dimensional Wealth community. This month’s issue is all about assessing where we are today, and where we want to go tomorrow. While much of this newsletter’s discussion centers on our personal and family lives, the same level of scrutiny and planning applies to our business lives as well. To get you started, we have an activity for you. YOUR PROGRESS? When it comes to finding your unique niche and communicating your services to your clients, which phrase best describes your business?
Doug’s book, “The 10 Keys Transformation.” The other scorecard categories include activities like identifying the profile of your ideal client; operating within your Exceptional Expertise, and redefining your business every 7 years, focusing on marketing and innovation. Within each category, you’re asked to identify which of five phrases most closely reflects your current progress. Depending on your response, you’ll score yourself on a scale of 1 to 10, with an overall score helping you clarify your areas of strength and where you can grow.
•
You have never really thought about the unique systems/ processes your clients go through.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY Why is the 10 Keys Scorecard valuable for your business?
• You have a general process or system you take your clients through. • You have a flow chart of the process clients go through so they can track progress. • You have a four-to-eight-step process you use to “brand-ucate” and engage with your clients. • You have a trademarked process of predictability where 85% of the result is determined in the first 15% of the experience. If you find yourself among the first few responses, you can probably surmise that you are missing out on opportunities to clarify your value proposition and engage your clients in their journey toward satisfaction/success. If you land on the fourth bullet point, you’re already in a really strong position. And if your business reflects that fifth bullet, then congratulations — you’re operating in an optimal zone for your client experience.
We could just ask you as a business leader, “Do you want to improve your business?” Unless things are dire, you would likely reply, “Well, sure, we can always get better, but things are working just fine.” The scorecard, however, helps you see the gap between where you are now and where you can be. This can empower you to seek the knowledge you need and adopt the systems that will make a difference. We’re happy to help you with that evolution!
YOUR SCORE? Analyzing your unique niche is one of 10 core business strategies examined in the 10 Keys Scorecard, which is the central focus of

SUPERCHARGE YOUR HEALTH WITH THESE 4 NUTRIENT-RICH FOODS
DARK LEAFY GREENS Dark leafy greens include chard, collard greens, kale, and spinach. Leafy greens are high in fiber and various vitamins and minerals, including calcium, vitamin C, and vitamin A. LEGUMES Like the children's rhyme says, beans are a magical fruit. They are high in fiber, minerals, and vitamins. They have also been shown to lower the risk of heart disease. Many types of beans exist: soy, kidney, butter, red, black, and chickpea and can be used in many dishes like chili to add necessary fiber. Many foods provide the nutrition you need to live a long, healthy life. Try incorporating some of these foods into your meals for a more balanced diet that can support one of your most vital Foundational assets: your health.
We’ve all heard the term superfood, but what does it really mean? It’s often used in clickbait articles and referenced by dietitians and nutritionists. Articles with titles like “The 10 Superfoods to Supercharge Your Metabolism” and “Superfoods You Need to Eat” are everywhere. Unfortunately, the term “superfood” has no agreed-upon official definition among dietitians. Your health is a critical asset in your Foundational Dimension, so it’s pivotal that you understand not only what superfoods really are, but also how you can add them to your diet. Superfoods have generally come to mean foods rich in vitamins and minerals that may have myriad health benefits. While there is no single food that can adequately provide all of the nutrients a healthy person needs, many foods are high in nutrients you can and should eat to improve your diet.
Here are four healthy, nutrient-rich options, but before making any significant dietary changes, consult your physician or health practitioner. FISH Fish are naturally low in fat and high in protein. They also have omega-3 fatty acids, which are hugely important for cell function, especially cells in your eyes and brain. Studies have shown benefits in preventing cardiovascular disease. Some good fish options are sardines, mackerel, salmon, trout, and tuna. BERRIES Berries are delicious, packed with natural sugars, plus high in fiber and antioxidants. They are a great snack on their own and make a great addition to cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt. You can add common berries like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries or exotic options like goji or gooseberries.

To some, a nap is a vital part of a daily routine. To others, naps are accidents and should be avoided. Power naps — also known as “cat naps” — are short, usually around 15–20 minutes, and many believe such a tiny amount of sleep can’t be helpful. You can’t even get to the REM sleep stage. However, peer-reviewed studies show power naps can have many health benefits, which directly impact your Foundational Dimension. Here are three ways you benefit from adding a 15-minute sleep session to your daily routine. THINK CLEARER Napping is excellent for sharpening your cognitive powers. High sleep quality leads to better memory, fast response times, and mental clarity, so a power nap is perfect for fitting a little more into your schedule. But
while a cat nap can sharpen your focus, a longer nap might hinder you. Long naps go through the entire sleep cycle and result in grogginess, impairing brain function for a short time. For the best results, make sure your naps stay brief!

The well-being and growth of your family are paramount to your Foundational Dimension. What better way to help your children learn and thrive than travel? THE 4TH TYPE OF INCOME Don’t Miss Out on This Game- Changing Strategy
If you’re looking to make more of your money, not only do you want to look for financial strategies that can provide optimal liquidity, safety, and predictable rates of return, but you also want to find those with significant tax advantages.
Because as anyone who’s paid taxes on their IRA and 401(k) withdrawals knows, it’s not fun to watch Uncle Sam take a bite out of your retirement. And since many retired Americans find themselves in a tax bracket that’s just as high or higher than their earning years, the more you can save on taxes during your golden years, the better.
So, what can you do to elevate your financial status during retirement?
Learn how to take advantage of the 4th type of income. Order your free copy of “The Laser Fund” book today.
Cut Uncle Sam out of the equation, and thrive on the fourth type of income.
What do we mean by that?
BEYOND THE 3 TYPES OF TAXABLE INCOME When it comes to taxes, since the 1986 tax reform, Americans only pay income tax on three types of income (see Section 7702 of the Internal Revenue Code): 1. Earned income – This is money that you earn by working, including wages, salaries, and bonuses. 2. Passive income – This would be the type of income you receive from renting or leasing property. 3. Portfolio income – This comes in the form of interest and dividends.
unforgettable memories on Family Retreats, or hitting your favorite golf courses around the world, it’s YOUR money, not Uncle Sam’s, to use as you please. Another advantage to this fourth type of income? You can take advantage of access to tax-free money during your earning years, as well. You can use it for everything from business ventures to college tuition, cars, charitable contributions, and more. It’s up to you! What’s more, by putting your after-tax dollars into your IUL LASER Fund, you are getting taxes over and done with at today’s tax rates. Since most people agree that taxes are likely to go up, not down, in the future, this can save you money on taxes in the long run, as well. About now you might be wondering about the money you already have in IRAs and 401(k)s. We’ve helped thousands of clients reposition money from their traditional accounts to IUL LASER Funds, getting the taxes out of the way sooner than later, so they can enjoy tax-free income during retirement — and much more peace of mind.
There’s a fourth type of income, and it’s totally tax-free.
It’s the income you can take from your IUL LASER Fund in the form of a loan.
Loans on IUL LASER Funds are not earned, passive, or portfolio income, so the money is yours, tax-free.
YOUR MONEY, YOUR LIFE You can use your tax-free income to make the most of your golden years. Whether that’s paying for your dream retirement home, making
