THE MICHAEL FAIRCLOTH FASHION DESIGN ENDOWMENT The Michael Faircloth Fashion Design Endowment has made significant contributions toward advancing research, fostering faculty recognition and supporting fashion design students in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas. The campaign has played a crucial role in providing essential resources for both graduate and undergraduate students, enhancing the overall quality of education and research within the program in several impactful ways: • Promoting excellence in UNT’s fashion design program through unrestricted support. • Supporting research-enhancing activities for outstanding graduate students and faculty. • Qualifying for matching funds from the Texas Research Incentive Program (TRIP), further enhancing the impact of research in the fashion design program. RESEARCH SUPPORT The Faircloth Endowment facilitated faculty organizational memberships, providing access to resources, networks and opportunities for professional development. Noteworthy achievements include: • Increased profile in professional organizations like ITAA and CSA. • M.F.A. students presented at international conferences, broadening the program's reach. • Faculty member Dr. Jeremy Bernardoni participated in the Creativity and Innovation in Design and Engineering Conference in Italy. DISSEMINATION EFFORTS The Michael Faircloth Graduate Endowment allows faculty and students to participate in conferences, leading to increased visibility and recognition. Highlights include: • Multiple faculty and student design exhibitions and research presentations at the ITAA conference. • Undergraduate students securing awards in prestigious competitions, including the Paris American Academy Couture Prize. AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS Support provided by the Michael Faircloth Endowment has led to prestigious awards and recognitions, elevating the program's standing in academic and professional communities.
