DR. CHRISTIAN MANANSALA, DC NRG Athletes Therapy Fitness Staff Introduces Our New Chiropractor!
Dr. Manansala holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, with a focus in biochemistry, from the University of Manitoba. His interests in health, sports, and manual medicine led him to enroll into the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario. He chose to enroll at CMCC due to their reputation as the leading evidence-based chiropractic school in the world. As a student he was fortunate to shadow and learn from various healthcare practitioners ranging from sports medicine, chiropractic and physiotherapy. This unique exposure shaped his integrated approach to musculoskeletal (MSK) care. During his residency Dr. Manansala saw the need to expand his scope in order to deliver truly integrated therapy for all his patients. This led him to train at McMaster University and he became certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Manansala utilizes principles from multiple disciplines to improve patient outcomes. His integrated approach involves; myofascial release, fascial abrasion technique, instrument-assisted soft-tissue manipulation, spinal manipulation, mobilization, dry needling, medical acupuncture, and evidence-based rehabilitative exercise, as clinically indicated. Remaining true to his goal of life long learning, Dr. Manansala is currently completing his Masters in Science at the University of Manitoba with a focus on integrated health care, and spinal manipulation in adolescents.
