CASE CLOSED: PREMISE OF LIABILITY

In our line of work, our duty to the public is to ensure the right people take responsibility for their actions. When a person’s negligence or carelessness results in an accident or severe injury, we make sure that person answers for their actions. One of our main goals is to make the community safer, and we do that by holding people accountable. Money is one of the top reasons that company leaders don't take the appropriate safety precautions to protect the community. They don’t want to spend anything extra on security or inspectors to walk around and make sure there’s nothing dangerous on the property. For companies like these, there's always a cost-benefit analysis for each decision. However, you can bet they’re going to make different financial decisions in the future when we make that company pay for their negligence. Our team did just this for a client who, due to an individual’s negligence, suffered a very serious leg injury. This amazing client was a wonderful human who loved his career. Yet, because of his injury, his career was cut short. He truly deserved justice for what he’d gone through, but no one wanted to take responsibility for the injustice he suffered. That is when our team leapt into action. We ensured that the right people took responsibility for this unfortunate situation, helping them take the first step toward redemption. If someone doesn’t take responsibility for their actions, they’re not going to fix the problem or do their diligence to ensure another incident like this doesn’t happen again. If you know anyone who needs legal representation or who has been harmed by a company that needs to take responsibility for their actions, refer them to our office. We are prepared to do our duty in making our community a safer place. ENSURING THE ‘BAD GUYS’ TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY

ZESTY ORANGE CRANBERRY SAUCE

Inspired by OnceUponaChef.com

• 1/2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed • 1/2 cup water • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar • 12 oz fresh cranberries • 2 tsp orange zest • Salt to taste Ingredients Directions 1. In a medium saucepan, heat the orange juice, water, and sugar to a boil. Add other ingredients, then bring mixture back to boiling. 2. Reduce the heat to medium and cook gently for 10–12 minutes, until the cranberries burst. 3. Transfer the sauce to a bowl or jar, cover, and refrigerate until serving. Skip the can-shaped cranberry sauce this year and bring a jar of homemade sauce to Thanksgiving instead. This easy recipe can be made ahead of the big event and keeps for 10 days in the fridge.
