social order expenses increases again this year, as mil- lions of people will rely on safety net programs. It is now unsustainable to continuously expand these threatening government anti-poverty programs and enjoy our individu- al freedoms without Trump’s federal aid. California may be 60 percent blue, but the majority of the country voted red with no higher taxes. “Our best-anti-poverty programs in 2025 is a thriving economy. Unfortunately, California and New York still have the highest state income tax and sales tax, not to mention, monumental corporate tax, California has another gaso- line tax for low carbon fuels at $5.00 a gallon and ever-in- creasing electric utility bills. “Consider: ‘Electricity prices for large industrial users in procedurally driven Germany are well above the European Union average, let alone the U.S., China or Japan. This is largely the result of Berlin’s decision to eschew coal and nuclear power in favor of renewables that are more expen- sive and less reliable.’ “The same thing is happening in California. Average re- tail electricity prices nationwide is $0.19 per kilowatt hour, but in Texas and Florida, it’s $0.14 per kilowatt hour, and in California it’s $0.30 to $0.60 per kilowatt hour. California’s renewable energy is too expensive compared to the com- petitors. This will drive even more industry out of California in 2025 just like what is happening in Germany. “Even worse, my neighbors in Santa Ana, California, an- other sanctuary city, rejected Measure DD, which would have allowed noncitizens to vote, by a 62-38 margin in November 2024. Non-citizens voting is like an imposter replacing an elected official and, say, casting a vote to in- crease taxes. Those who support non-citizen voting, re- gardless of party affiliation, have no claim to support the rule of law. The left’s political system is either funded by taxpayers or ignored by prosecutors. Furthermore, cat- alyst business leaders have withdrawn from the public square over the last decade or so and are dealing with oz-like authority elites or their lobbyists. Our top order now is to re-engage as business statesmen, and promote the constitution’s interests, not thrones or altars. “In 2025, the Cal Box Group of companies will contin- ue to practice sound business and social fundamentals (as written in my latest book) with cautious optimism. Thus, the year’s highlights are to partner and purchase over- priced proven technology with another flexo folder gluer, printing plate washer, install a heavy duty die cutter, ex- pand another 50,000 sq. ft. for a WIP (work in progress) warehouse, etc. “All these abilities of adaptability and purchasing power are based in the best interest of our loyal employees, cus- tomers and suppliers because we care about connecting with people in ways that make their lives better. “Finally, to endeavor a livelihood in our amazing So. Cal climate while living in a safe community is never assumed, but definitely appreciated this year.”
