PADDLE PEARLAND – KAYAKING TOUR Paddle Pearland is the perfect way to learn about Pearland’s native environment by kayak! Participants will go through a quick Kayak 101 talk to make sure everyone is comfortable with the basics before hitting the water. During the program, participants will get a close look at one of our bird rookeries, learn about the vital aquatic habitats throughout the Pearland area and enjoy a relaxing paddle on the pond. Kayaks, paddles and personal flotation devices will be provided. A participating adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. LEAVE NO TRACE WORKSHOP PRESENTED BY REI-BAYBROOK Want to make a difference the next time you head outdoors? Join us for a Leave No Trace Workshop presented by REI-Baybrook. We’ll walk you through the 7 Leave No Trace principles, ethics and strategies to minimize impact when recreating outdoors. This awareness workshop will introduce you to Leave No Trace, broaden your understanding of recreational impacts on the natural environment and teach you some practical skills to use on your next outing.
