When you consider that camellias are long-lived and can sometimes live off just rainwater after the first year of planting, it’s not hard to see why these beautiful plants are well worth the investment. My favorite camellia is the ShiShi Gashira camellia, which is a vibrant pink, semi-double bloom flower with golden yellow centers and glossy, dark green foliage.
