About the CRN
The Corporate Relations Network (CRN) is a connecting and coordinating body that addresses policy and practice in corporate relations between units at the Urbana-Champaign campus and corporate partners. The CRN serves as a forum for corporate relations practitioners from across campus so it can build a strong collaborative culture. Its membership discusses current developments in the practice of engagement of universities with corporations as well as trends in the economy and environment that relate to emerging corporate engagement opportunities. CRN members also collaborate in defining and continuously refining best practices to manage corporate engagements (policies to be included in the campus corporate relations manual), and they advocate for the essence and value of corporate relations to the University of Illinois. The CRN reviews policies and procedures that clarify and document best practices to ensure that corporate relation staff across campus is able to effectively and efficiently serve units, faculty, corporate partners, as well as the university community as a whole.
