Sidelne Sports ALL-COUNTY VOLLEYBALL - Several players earned All-County honors following the 2023 Marshall County Volleyball Tournament. Arab's Laney Kelley was named the tournament's MVP. Joining her on the All-County team were teammates Bennett Elrod, Sami Kate Hudson, and Marissa Pope; Other members include: Harley Wyatt of Boaz; Chasity Walker of Brindlee Mountain; Mallory Ackles of Douglas; Chloe Pilkington of Asbury; Kendall Summerville and Emma Greer, both of Albertville; Emily Reeves and Tana Osborn, both of DAR; Tazi Harris, Mary George Vandergriff, and Marlie Kreger, all of Guntersville. PLAINVIEW VOLLEYBALL - The Plainview volleyball program had a great season. The Lady Bears varsity team won the 2023 DeKalb County Championship and the Class 3A Area 14 Championship. Plainview's Junior High and Junior Varsity both won the 2023 County Championship. The JH team finished the season 30-5 and the JV team finished the season 41-7. FYFFE HOMECOMING QUEEN - Ady Bailey was recently named the 2023 Homecoming Queen at Fyffe High School. TRACK CHAMPIONS - The Plainview Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys recently won the 2023 DeKalb County Track Titles. The All County Girls Top 5 was a complete sweep and included: Jaxson Bruce, Kadie Brooks, Abigail Mays, Abby Williams, and Ali Price. The Plainview boys had three participants in the All County Top 5. They were: Ephan Benjume, Israel Johnson, and Collin Hall.
