Les pompiers de Hawkesbury en alerte pour la PPO
La présence de la Police provin- ciale de L’Ontario dans le station- nement du Service des incendies deHawkesbury a attiré l’attention le 24 février, et c’est finalement pour appuyer l’escouade anti- drogue de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario que le Service a demandé aux pompiers de L’Orignal d’offrir une cou- verture temporaire sur son territoire. Selon le chef pompier par intérim, Roger Champagne, le plus grand secret était néces- saire pour l’opération, qui était le démantè- lement d’un laboratoire de méthamphéta- mine sur la rue Jacynthe. Les pompiers de Hawkesbury ont été informés des détails de la situation que quelques minutes avant l’intervention des officiers. Agreement over usage of Rivière Rouge Road
John Saywell, mayor of Grenville-sur-la- Rouge, and Jean-Marc Rizk, president of Les Sources Véo Inc. have announced the conclusion of an agreement regarding the usage of Rivière Rouge Road. This agreement ensures themunicipality will receive financial compensation for the movement of delivery vehicles belonging to Les Sources Véo Inc. on the way to Rivière Rouge and thereby support its maintenance. This agreement puts an end to several years of conflicts andmisunderstandings and will implement an annual contribution of Véo
to themaintenance of the Rivière Rouge Road. The agreement allows themunicipality to regularize its accounts, in addition to ensu- ring a source of constant contribution, and allows the emphasis of the importance the company leaders attribute to maintaining and improving themunicipal road network. At the signing of the agreement, Saywell and Rizk said they were very happy to have such an outcome and have indicated their interest to keep their new relationship in order to possibly collaborate in the realiza- tion of future joint projects.
