INALLY, SPRING IS HERE. THE weather is beautiful, birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and trees are beginning to bud. This month of April, take in the city’s abundance of stunning blooms in gardens, stroll through London’s parks, or visit nature reserves to see wildlife. As the first daffodils and tulips begin to bloom, the city erupts with festivals, art exhibits, and concerts. April is a pleasant month to visit London in blossom because the weather is calm and enjoyable. It’s the ideal time of year for one of the fantastic river cruises, and Hyde Park and other smaller parks are calling. Princess Diana Memorial Garden at Kensington Palace will be of interest to Diana fans. Explore Camden Market and take in the handmade products and presents. This is a great area to unwind after a long day of sightseeing and just observe people. ST GEORGE’S DAY AT TRAFALGAR SQUARE

London Borough of Culture 2023. Experience a terrific schedule of marquee events in this south London neighborhood, including storytelling, live music, and performances. EASTER Enjoy egg hunts, themed attractions, Easter-specific performances, or a Sunday lunch over the long Easter weekend in London. Bank holidays are observed in the UK on Good Friday and Easter Monday. THE PASSION OF JESUS AT TRAFALGAR SQUARE See a biblical tale being enacted by 100 actors during the annual Good Friday performance of The Passion of Jesus in Trafalgar Square. Thousands of people come to central London to see the two free, 90-minute performances. LONDON MARATHON At the London Marathon, you can run, stroll, or just support the competitors from the sidelines. Join tens of thousands of runners and spectators at this yearly competition, which is a fixture of the sporting calendar in London.

On St. George’s Day, revel in all things English in the bustling capital. Explore the traditions and culture of the country through family-friendly programs and food booths, or watch the historic square come to life with its array of performers, live music, and installations. EID FESTIVAL AT TRAFALGAR SQUARE Participate in the festivities at the Trafalgar Square Eid Festival to mark the conclusion of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. See displays of Muslim artists’ work, sample food from numerous kiosks, and listen to live music on the main stage. VAISAKHI FESTIVAL AT TRAFALGAR SQUARE At the Vaisakhi Festival in Trafalgar Square, celebrate the start of the Sikh New Year with live music, art exhibits, family activities, and crafts. The ceremonies of the festival, which commemorates the day in 1699 when Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa order, are accessible to everyone. EC
