Aiming High Prevention Services: Af- ter-School Support Aiming High Prevention Services caters to youth aged 6 to 17 through programs like the Coalition for Academic and Personal Excellence (C.A.P.E.) and Teen Peer Educators (T.P.E.). These programs educate students about the negative effects of vio- lence, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs while providing essential tutoring to boost academic achievement. Positive Action: An Integrated Approach Positive Action, designed for children and adoles- cents aged 5 to 18, is an integrated program that enhances academic achievement and positive be- haviors. Lessons span from kindergarten to 12th grade, reinforcing values and skills in school, at home, and in the community. The program focuses on reducing substance use, addressing risk factors, and enhancing protective factors. Building a Brighter Future Lima UMADAOP’s unwavering commitment to empowering and educating youth is reshaping the lives of children and adolescents in the Lima com- munity. These programs equip them with essential life skills, fostering responsibility, resilience, and a passion for learning. Through these investments in youth, Lima UMADAOP is building a brighter fu- ture for all.

Nurturing Future Leaders with the Summer Enrichment Program Lima UMADAOP’s Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineer- ing, and Mathematics (STEM) for youths aged 6 to 15. This dynamic program offers a diverse range of educational and recreational activities, nurtur- ing self-esteem and leadership skills. SEP utilizes a twofold approach, involving student leaders (camp counselors) to deliver educational activities, pro- moting STEM exploration and achievement.

Youth Gardening and Healthy Living The Garden Project encourages youth to embrace healthy living and clean eating through hands-on gardening experiences. Guided by master gardeners, the project educates and mentors youth in garden- ing, from planting to harvesting, instilling the im- portance of a healthy lifestyle. Holistic Development for Young Males: M.A.T.C.H. The Male Academy for Traditional Conduct and Honor (M.A.T.C.H.) supports young males in their transition into adolescence. A holistic approach promotes cultural awareness, self-esteem, self-re- liance, critical thinking, and social coping skills. M.A.T.C.H. instills values, a strong work ethic, and an appreciation for education.
