erlin,Maryland — The Willow/GGA Construction team broke ground June 7th, 2017 for the Atlantic General Hos- pital (AGH) Regional Can- cer Care Center. The new building will be named after John H. “Jack” Burbage, for- mer AGH Board of Trustees chair. Willow construction has teamed up with GGA Construction, based out of Middletown, DE to complete the project. at the corner of Rte. 113 and Rte. 346, Berlin, Maryland. The new center will in- clude an infusion center, linear accelerator, CT scan- ner and other advanced tech- nology. The infusion center’s exterior will be constructed using Dynamic Glass. The Dynamic Glass windows adapt and tint automati- cally to adjust the amount of light entering the room to provide a more comfort- able, productive, and energy efficient environment. The new center will prevent un- necessary travel for cancer

patients who demand more intensive services here on the eastern shore. This proj- ect is a huge stepping stone for the medical services of- fered here on the Delmarva Peninsula. The construction management team is made up by Willows vice president Andy Cheezum , project manager Eric Milhollan , super intendent jim tone , gga’s project executive Lorri Grayson , and MEP coor- dinator Mike Anderson . Site work has begun and the project is expected to be completed Spring 2018. n

WBC honors Holt employees as the Next Generation of Women Builders NEW YORK, NY — On May 16th, 2017, Chris Asaro , president of Holt Construction , received the WeforShe Champions Award at the 13th annual Women Builders Council (WBC) event, which honored key decision makers in the con- struction industry to affirm their commitment to gender equality, as well as increas- ing diversity and the role of women in the construction industry. Antonina Caruso , direc- tor of business development; Emily Cosme , project man- ager; Jacqueline Toro, project manager; June Perino , assistant project manager; Brittany Farsetta , assis- tant project manager; Taylor Steucke , assistant project manager; and Abby Joz- wicki , senior project ac- countant, were also singled out and honored during the event as Next Generation of Women Builders. These are just a few of the women who make it happen at Holt. These ladies have been cho- sen because of their passion, dedication and drive within our firm. Over the past five years, under the leadership of Asaro, Holt has expanded the participation of women within their organization and on their project sites by 50%. Asaro credits Holt Construction’s “open com- munication” culture and his team’s commitment to inter- nal mentorship and leverag- ing the different strengths of women at all levels within the company. n
