Woodworking for Beginners All-Day Workshop Instructor: Kurt Klimko

Join Erin Urusko, creator of Buttercream Party, to make memories and delicious gourmet decorated cookies. Learn decorating tips and baking secrets to decorating cookies. Learn about icing consistency, flooding, writing, and how to decorate with multiple textures. In each class, you will decorate a dozen baked cookies almost too pretty to eat. If you’ve always wanted to try woodworking, this is your chance. You will start with basic safety, followed by a demonstration of how to properly use various hand tools and power tools. You will have a chance to practice with each. After breaking for lunch, you will return to the wood shop to work on a small project to put your knowledge to work. The limited class size will allow for plenty of individualized attention from your instructor. You will finish the day with a completed project to take home. Ear protection is recommended. The safety workshop is included with this class. There is a $30 materials fee payable to the instructor, check or cash. Pottery for Adults Instructor: Andrea Serafino

This class is designed for the student who is already well versed in pottery making. Students will be encouraged to explore more complicated forms and decorating techniques and to develop individuality in their work. Materials and firing costs are included in the class fee. Intro To Power Tools Instructor: Kurt Klimko

In this class, you will gain a better understanding of power tools. Learn how to work the table saw and other large equipment in the Orange High School woodshop.
